As part of its commitment to delivering inclusive, compassionate, and equitable religious services, the Bangli Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, through its Hindu Religious Counselors, once again conducted religious guidance and counseling for rehabilitation patients at Manah Santhi Mahottama Hospital on Monday.
The activity represents the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ ongoing implementation of the Ruang Pulih Program, which is designed to integrate spiritual assistance into a holistic approach to medical and mental health recovery (Recovery Space)
The spiritual guidance session was led by a team of Hindu Religious Counselors from the Bangli Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, comprising I Wayan Sudarma, Ni Wayan Gantiari, Ni Wayan Wiraswastini, Ni Nyoman Sutiari, Ni Wayan Soma Ekasari, and I Gusti Ayu Nurcahyani. A total of 19 rehabilitation patients participated enthusiastically and respectfully throughout the program.
The session featured a series of spiritual activities, including the daily Hindu devotional practice (Nitya Karma) through Puja Trisandhya, breathing and mindfulness exercises using Bhadrika Pranayama, and AUM Cultivation. Participants also took part in an interactive religious dialogue titled, “Memohon Tujuh Anugerah Utama melalui Praktik Pengucapan Mantra Sapta Werddhi” Through these activities, participants were encouraged to strengthen their spiritual values, cultivate inner peace, enhance self-discipline, and build optimism as they prepare for the future.
Hindu Religious Counselor I Wayan Sudarma emphasized that the Ruang Pulih Program reflects the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ commitment to ensuring that the state is present in providing equitable religious services, particularly for vulnerable communities.
“Religious guidance is an essential pillar in supporting holistic recovery. Through the Ruang Pulih Program, the Ministry of Religious Affairs continues to provide religious services that are welcoming, inclusive, and equitable. We hope every individual has the same opportunity to strengthen their spirituality, rebuild hope, and prepare for a more harmonious and meaningful life,” Sudarma said.
The program was conducted well and smoothly and received positive appreciation from both the hospital management and the rehabilitation patients. Through the continued implementation of spiritual guidance, the Ministry hopes to provide participants with a strong spiritual foundation to support their recovery, both during their treatment and when they return to their families and communities to lead productive and meaningful lives.
