In order to improve human resource governance and strengthen the professionalism of lecturers, the Directorate General of Hindu Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a socialization session on Lecturer Workload Reporting (Beban Kerja Dosen or BKD) through the SISTER application.

The online session, held on Friday (August 7, 2026), was attended by lecturers from private Hindu religious higher education institutions (PTKHS) across Indonesia. The initiative also represents a strategic step toward strengthening quality assurance systems in Hindu religious higher education.

The session opened with remarks from Director of Hindu Education Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, who represented the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance. In his address, he emphasized that BKD reporting should not be viewed merely as a routine administrative requirement completed each semester.

“BKD reporting is a concrete form of a lecturer’s professional accountability in fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, encompassing education and teaching, research, community service, and other supporting activities,” Prof. Sudarsana emphasized.

He further explained that integrating BKD reporting into the SISTER application represents a transformation in governance aimed at establishing a centralized, well-documented, accurate, and accountable data management system.

“BKD data in the SISTER application is crucial because it plays an important role as a basis for verifying eligibility requirements for the payment of Lecturer Professional Allowances (TPD). Therefore, accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting must be taken seriously by all lecturers,” he added.

To ensure comprehensive technical understanding, the session featured two expert speakers: Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) at IAHN Mpu Kuturan, Dr. I Nyoman Suka Ardiyasa, and Head of the Lecturer Career Center at IAHN Mpu Kuturan, Putu Edi Sutrisna, M.Pd. The two speakers took turns explaining the relevant regulations and policies, data-entry procedures, validation processes, and practical steps for submitting BKD reports based on the Ministry requirements.

Through this technical guidance session, the Directorate General of Hindu Community Guidance aims to establish a strong common understanding among higher education leaders, quality assurance institutions, BKD assessors, SISTER operators, and lecturers at PTKHS institutions across Indonesia.

This shared understanding is considered essential to promoting orderly administration, ensuring accountability in lecturer data management, and strengthening transparent and data-driven governance across Hindu higher education institutions.
