The Bhakti Tilem Sasih Kasa worship ceremony held at Prambanan Temple on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) served as a meaningful occasion to strengthen the spiritual life of the Hindu community through the profound message delivered by Ida Pandita Mpu Dwi Cakra Jaya Nanda. Before 108 Hindu devotees in attendance, he encouraged the congregation to embrace the principle of Widya Bhakti Krya Yajna as a guiding philosophy in their daily lives.

Ida Pandita in his Dharma Wacana emphasized that the enduring strength of Hinduism lies in its nature as Sanatana Dharma—the eternal truth that remains relevant across generations and capable of addressing the challenges of every era. He explained that religious life should always be grounded in the concept of Tri Samaya—atita (the past), wartamana (the present), and nagata (the future)—therefore the noble values of Hinduism continue to be preserved and remain meaningful throughout time.

The central message of Dharma Wacana underscored the importance of expressing sradha (faith) and bhakti (devotion) through tangible actions. According to Ida Pandita, Widya Bhakti Krya Yajna teaches that the knowledge one possesses and the work one performs should be regarded as sacred offerings (yajna) and acts of devotion to Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa, the Almighty.

"Widya Bhakti Krya Yajna reminds us that the knowledge we possess and the work we perform are expressions of yajna and bhakti dedicated to Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa, the Almighty. The question is: are we truly able to live by this principle? Let each of us reflect upon it," Ida Pandita told the congregation.

The worship ceremony, led by Ida Pandita Mpu Dwi Cakra Jaya Nanda of Griya Basundari Kusuma, Buleleng, Bali, was also attended by Didik Widya Putra, Head of Hindu Community Guidance at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The presence of Ida Pandita from Bali provided an opportunity not only to strengthen the spiritual development of the congregation but also to foster solidarity among Hindu communities across different regions of Indonesia.

In his remarks, Didik Widya Putra expressed his hope that Prambanan Temple would continue to grow as a place of service for Sulinggih (Hindu priests) from across the country. He noted that Prambanan Temple is not merely a legacy of Indonesia's Hindu civilization but also a living spiritual center where religious values are nurtured and unity among the nation's Hindu community continues to flourish.

Through the message of Widya Bhakti Krya Yajna, this year's Bhakti Tilem Sasih Kasa observance became more than an act of worship dedicated to Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa. It also served as a reminder that every field of knowledge, profession, and sincere endeavor can become a form of spiritual service. These values are expected to continue inspiring the Hindu community to embody sradha, bhakti, and selfless service to God and to fellow human beings in their daily lives.
